Alexandria, VA  The National Credit Union Administration and the U.S. Treasury Department's Community Development Financial Institutions Fund today signed an agreement that will streamline the application process for low-income credit unions to become certified as Community Development Financial Institutions.

The federal bank regulatory agencies, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, and the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund will host the 2016 National Interagency Community Reinvestment Conference in Los Angeles from February 8 to 10.

The winner, Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO), has been awarded a one-year contract to test an innovative way of partnering Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) with small businesses in low-income areas that need investment.
