FAQ Question
2. Does an organization need to sign the CDFI Certification Agreement to be a Certified CDFI?
FAQ Answer

Yes. Organizations must sign the CDFI Certification Agreement to be Certified as CDFIs, and are subject to the terms and conditions in the Agreement to maintain their Certified status. The CDFI Certification Agreement template can be viewed on the CDFI Fund’s website.

Successful CDFI Certification Applicants will receive an AMIS notification that their Application has been accepted and that their CDFI Certification Agreement is available for their review. Successful Applicants have 30 calendar days from the date of the notification to sign the Agreement.

Please note: if an organization has applied for a CDFI Fund program award, or if an organization is a recent recipient of an award where one of the conditions is that it must be a Certified CDFI, that organization will not be able to access the award funds until this Agreement is executed.
