Important Information for Organizations Impacted by California Wildfires
Performance Benchmark and Compliance Deadline Extensions Available Upon Request
On January 8, 2025, President Biden issued a major disaster declaration in the State of California for areas affected by wildfires and straight-line winds beginning on January 7, 2025, and continuing. The Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) will allow organizations affected by the disaster declaration to request an extension for their performance benchmark and compliance reporting deadlines on a case-by-case basis. Specifically:
Those organizations headquartered in or serving areas affected by the disaster(s) may request to extend performance benchmark and compliance reporting deadlines. Specifically, a request to extend submission deadlines for Annual Certification and Data Collection Report (ACR) and Compliance Reports or meet a performance benchmark outlined in an Assistance/Allocation Agreement MUST be submitted via Service Request through the CDFI Fund’s Awards Management Information System (AMIS) no later than 30 days prior to the report deadline, or 60 days prior to the performance benchmark deadline. Requests for extension due to the disaster will be accepted through August 1, 2025. The Service Request must cite the specific circumstances preventing your organization from completing and/or submitting these materials, or achieving the specified benchmark or metric, by the required deadlines.
Those organizations that are NOT headquartered in or serving a specifically designated disaster area, but which feel that the disaster(s) has materially impacted their ability to submit an ACR and/or annual compliance report(s) by the required deadline or meet a performance benchmark(s) outlined in an Assistance/Allocation Agreement, should submit a Service Request in AMIS no later than 30 days prior to the report deadline, or 60 days prior to the performance benchmark deadline. The CDFI Fund will consider these requests through August 1, 2025 on a case-by-case basis. The Service Request must cite the specific circumstances preventing your organization from completing and/or submitting these materials, or achieving the specified benchmark or metric, by the required deadlines.
