Acting Deputy Director

Daniel Aiello is currently Acting Deputy Director for Policy and Programs and is Senior Advisor to the Deputy Director for Policy and Programs. In his role as Acting Director, he oversees the design and management of the CDFI Fund's assistance programs to ensure alignment with the CDFI Fund’s strategic vision. Since 2010, Mr. Aiello has served in a variety of capacities with the CDFI Fund. Previously, he served as Program Manager for the Capital Magnet Fund (CMF) and oversaw that program’s work providing competitively awarded grants to finance affordable housing solutions and community revitalization efforts that benefit low-income people and communities nationwide. He has also served as Senior Policy and Program Officer for the New Markets Tax Credit Program (NMTC Program).

Mr. Aiello completed his master’s degree in public policy and management at the H. John Heinz III College of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. He received his bachelor’s degree with highest honors in American Studies from Williams College.
