Permitted download and uses of the Excel spreadsheets
contained in this Zip file are restricted to geocoding
and determining the location of transactions so that
users can estimate whether or not they fall within a
qualifying area for the Fund's Bank Enterprise Award,
Community Development Financial Institutions, and New
Markets Tax Credit programs.
Also note that CDFI Program Investment Areas and BEA
Program Distressed Communities drawn up using these
data must consist of geographic units that are contiguous
(adjacent to each other). In addition, Investment Areas
must have no more than 15 percent of the total population
living in non-qualifying tracts or counties.
These spreadsheets do not include Native American Areas.
Information on Native American Areas must be accessed
through the mapping function of CIMS.
